Since its foundation in 1989, World Land Trust has funded partner organisations around the world to create reserves and give permanent protection to habitats and wildlife.
Buy an Acre projects are chosen to save maximum biodiversity in areas where WLT’s overseas conservation partners can purchase and protect land for an average of £100 an acre. Currently the Buy an Acre programme includes projects in Mexico and Zambia, and projects are added to the programme as new opportunities are identified.
To date, WLT has helped secure more than 774,282 acres of threatened habitat in 20 countries.
Lomax + Wood have signed up to donate £1 for every timber window and door sold under the FSC® Chain of Custody to the World Land Trust Buy an Acre scheme.
TO DATE LOMAX + WOOD HAVE PURCHASED 68 ACRES OF THREATENED HABITATS AND THEIR WILDLIFE
If you wish to donate personally, in addition to Lomax + Wood Ltd, you can donate here.
The Lomax + Wood FSC® Chain of Custody ensures the product is FSC® from source through to installation, if Lomax + Wood site fitting is specified, which is within the scope of our certification. The amount to be donated each year is in line with independently audited figures.
The money that is given to the World Land Trust, in my estimation, has more effect on the wild world than almost anything I can think of.
The World Land Trust (WLT) works with local NGO partners around the world to save and protect critically threatened habitat for wildlife.
Since 1989, through the generosity of WLT supporters, WLT has funded the purchase and protection of more than 774,000 acres of tropical forest and other threatened habitats, and along with WLT partners ensures that more than 4 million acres of land is managed under active protection worldwide.
