Made-to-order wooden acoustic windows were designed, tested and supplied by Lomax + Wood for a new prestigious hotel within central London.

The newly refurbished hotel in Newman Street, London required conservation timber casement windows that delivered modern performance. “Nothing was standard on the order,” says Chris Wood, managing director, Lomax + Wood Limited. “Which is what we are all about, with our ability to produce timber casement windows, sash windows and doors that not only look great but perform beyond ordinary performance standards.”

Lomax + Wood design the core of standard products to meet general customer requirements which include both contemporary and conservation window styles.

Lomax + Wood timber window and door products are not supplied by a single factory but sourced from the UK and Europe. “This allows us to ensure we use the right factory skill set to suit the customer’s specific requirements," says Chris Wood. “A single factory is not always able to meet the standards required by the bespoke nature of the made-to-order timber window industry or the rise and fall in demand. Therefore, we have invested in shared tooling costs with specific partners to provide consistent quality, flexibility on order size not restricted by one production line. Each partner is annually audited and provides their products under FSC® C126169 Chain of Custody."
