Refurbishment of Essex farmhouse with a Two Storey Curved on Plan Bay Window

Lomax + Wood supplied and installed timber windows and doors to this renovated farmhouse set within the Essex countryside with spectacular views overlooking picturesque fields.  The Silver Installation Service was the perfect solution for the builder on this whole house renovations.

The client requested Lomax + Wood provide a solution to replace the old draughty, single glazed windows with high-performance double-glazed sash windows and retain the historical sightlines.  Lomax + Wood’s made-to-order range of conservation area approved wooden windows and doors met all the criteria to replacement of single glazed wooden windows. The overall effect was to restore the fine period sightlines using elegant glazing bars while ensuring the property met up to date thermal and acoustic standards.

When providing Curved on plan sash windows our expert team must ensure that the new wooden windows follow that same contour as the existing brickwork.  Site survey, CAD drawings and templates are essential in this process.  Which in essence means Lomax + Wood takes full responsibility for the timber windows and doors with no other party involved, giving our customer or designer complete peace of mind.

All these quality wooden sash windows, casement and doors were supplied factory double glazed, fully weather-stripped, with spray applied micro-porous paint and all the ironmongery.
