Lomax + Wood designed, made-to-order timber windows and doors for this North London property renovation. This challenging but rewarding project featured high-performance timber windows in keeping with the property's period design.

The new owner purchased the building, which had fallen into a state of disrepair, with a view of converting it into a stunning family home with the correct design of the timber windows. As this property was within one of London’s Conservation areas, the timber windows and sightlines were vital, due to their dominance of the elevations. The client wished to maintain the traditional facade of the building but incorporate a bright and open style to the rear, this enhanced the contemporary style kitchen and family room, with the key element here being the oversized bespoke timber French Doorsets.

Traditional wooden flush casement windows are made from engineered timber to ensure strength, stability and durability. The factory-finished microporous paint system allows the timber to breathe. All frames are factory-finished, including all hardware. Our wooden windows and doors are internally double, or triple-glazed and are all independently tested to achieve Part Q and PAS 24:2016.

The wooden bullseye window is a classic design circular window, with glazing bars cross bars rather than radiating outward from a circular centre. All our products are made-to-order, Lomax + Wood can produce detailed CAD drawings to ensure we create the perfect feature window.

The Lomax + Wood FSC® Chain of Custody ensures the product is FSC® from the source through to installation if Lomax + Wood site fitting is specified, which is within the scope of our certification.
