Details
This detached new build in Much Hadham called for windows with the slimmest sightlines possible, without compromising on structural performance. Following a detailed site survey, Lomax + Wood developed a bespoke solution for the triple width casements that removed the need for vertical mullions entirely, a detail unique to this configuration. Combined with slim casement stiles, the result is an open, uninterrupted run of glazing that allows in plenty of natural light while giving the property a distinctly contemporary feel.
Fourteen flush casement windows were manufactured to this specification, alongside a French doorset and an entrance doorset with sidelights, all finished in RAL 9010 with 4/16/4 toughened double glazing and warm edge spacers for strong thermal performance. A special gable casement window, featuring 20mm glazing bars, provided a subtle decorative contrast against the otherwise bar-free design, with this detail
